If We Stand Together They Won’t Be Forgotten
She’s terrified, gripped with fear and heart-pounding emotions. Single, alone, and isolated. She feels her entire world has just collapsed around her. This is how many women have described their immediate feelings upon discovering an unplanned pregnancy. Being young and inexperienced, she’s limited in being able to take on a broader perspective of life. So, her first thought is, “My life is ruined!” We know it’s not true, but she doesn’t. What she needs is someone to stand with her. Abortion rights advocates and their legions of supporters are ready to stand with her to provide whatever she needs to end her pregnancy. Although the quickest solution, she prefers not to accept their offer. She longs for another, but if nothing else materializes to help surmount the obstacles she envisions, she will.
